Dear Parents,

I hope you all had a great weekend!  Please be sure to stop by and see our preschool quilt in the hallway, it's beautiful!!!

This week we will have some fun with transportation!!  We will be boarding the Preschool Express, not sure where we are going yet but I will let you know where to pick up your child!wink

We will be reading "Duck on a Bike" today and completing another preschool book.

Centers this week will include the train, car/garage, paper airplanes, truck center where the children will match letters and numbers, and the graph center entitled, "By Land, Air or Sea".  They will also be able to paint train cars and we will be using them to display the alphabet on Friday.

Snacks this week will include car/truck fruit snacks and traffic lights!!??

Miss Vicky will be here tomorrow to read to the children and show and tell will be on Friday as usual.  I would like the children to bring in some sort of transportation.

Friday we will celebrate Hannah's summer birthday!  She will be 5 in July!  Happy Birthday friend!!

This week I will introduce quarters to the children.  They will be shopping at my store one last week! smiley

Today, Ash Wednesday, marks the beginning of the Lenten Season.  This is a time before Easter in which we try and draw closer to God.  It is a time of sacrifice, giving, and prayer.  As a special Lenten project, I will be teaching the children the "Lords Prayer", or "Our Father".  We will be reciting this prayer each day during prayer.  It always touches my heart at how quickly the children pick up on the prayer!  I am hopeful that your child will know the prayer by Easter.  During this time, I will be focusing in class what this Lenten Season means and we will be talking about the events leading up to Easter.  If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to call me at any time.

Next week we will be back to work on the letter "O" and will have some fun in the ocean!

Have a wonderful week and God Bless!

Love, LuAnn

Our Father

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.  Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven .  Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.  Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.

Amen
