SIXTH GRADE STUDENT WINS SUPERIOR AT STATE SCIENCE DAY!

Science Fair News

Our school Science Fair was held on January 29, 2010.  Many judges from the area talked with students from Fourth-Eighth Grades from Saint Patrick School and Fifth-Sixth Grades from St. Mary School in Edgerton.  Twenty-nine students in Grades Five through Eight received Superior ratings on their science fair projects.  As a result, students in Fifth-Eighth Grades who received a "Superior" rating will advance to the Northwest Ohio Science and Engineering Fair on March 6.  They may also have the opportunity to compete at the University of Toledo's District Science Day in late March.  After the district science day, top junior high projects may advance to State Science Day in Columbus, Ohio in May.

Students in Preschool-Third Grade joined in this unique learning experience.  They completed class science projects that were displayed at our local science fair.  All of our young scientists impressed the judges and themselves with the outcome of their work through the scientific method!  Congratulations to all for a job well done!!

We are also very grateful to the numbers of professionals who came to judge our students' projects that day.  In addition, a number of businesses provided cash and gift certificate prizes.  We very much appreciate the support!!  May God bless our supporters and friends!
